Most students do not fail Calculus in Calculus. They fail it in the gaps the curriculum never stopped to detect, because the syllabus advances on the calendar's schedule whether or not anyone is ready. Numa starts from the opposite premise: mathematics is a language with real hierarchy, and nobody reads a sentence without first learning to spell the words that form it. So what happens when a student is never allowed to skip? Every module rests on the one below it, and every tool is introduced by the question it answers; a formula earns a purpose before it earns a procedure. I built it alone, from the pedagogical model down to the schema: Next.js App Router over Supabase Postgres, queried through Drizzle, with Zod validating every route handler and KaTeX rendering the notation. It is written in Spanish, for Spanish-speaking engineering students, and it is still in active development. The bet is simple. A student who arrives unable to define a function and leaves differentiating with intent did not learn a trick; they learned to read.

Key Highlights

• Modeled the curriculum as a prerequisite graph rather than a syllabus: fundamentals, algebra, functions and calculus, each one load-bearing for the next
• Built a diagnostic that finds where a student's understanding actually breaks, with a three-minute path that requires no account and a timed exam simulation
• Owned the full stack alone: Next.js App Router, Supabase Postgres through Drizzle, Zod on every route handler, and Supabase Auth with Google sign-in
• Rendered notation with KaTeX and instrumented the lesson flow with PostHog, so drop-off is measured and not guessed
• Wrote a strict Content Security Policy by hand (no framing, no object embeds, self-hosted fonts and styles) instead of shipping framework defaults
